hello team.
just so you know one major competition for the sprinting side Year 1s is round the corner.
i'm sure mugging hard for the exams have taken its toll on most of you. It is going to take alot of hard work and determination for each individual to recondition themsevles, especially when the competition is just 2weeks right after the exams & team chalet . Time doesnt wait.
National Junior Canoeing Championship ( March 14 & 15 , Macritchie Reservoir)
unfortunately, the rules state that a school can only send 2 boats per event.
therefore, not everyone will be able to participate in this competition.
the event listings are as follow,
K1 500m & 1000m( Men & Women)
K2 500m& 1000m ( Men & Women)
K4 500m & 1000m ( Men & Women )
C1 500m & 1000m. ( Men Only )
For the K4 distances you guys will be participating will be dicussed between us and Coach.
As for the rest of the distances, it will depend on selection basis in terms of your individual strengths & combined strengths for team boats in either the 500m and 1000m distances etc.
The List Of People who will be joining NJCC will be out by this Coming Friday as the Registration For NJCC closes by 2nd Of March, to make time for any necessary amendments before you guys go down to train & race in your respective distances , furthermore the seniors have to head for their attachment on the 2nd of March.
On a side note, for those who have already completed your exams , do head down for water trainings & land training. & for those doing team boats, do not neglect training the coordination and balance for Sprinting.
After the NJCC would be the MR500 just 2 weeks after it. This Competition is open to both the sprint & the polo juniors for those who may be interested in the T boat events.
All distances will only be 500m .

K4 500m
Venue : Bedok Reservoir
Date : 28th & 29th Of March.
